Detailed Itinerary
Gangtok to Lachung
Start early from Gangtok (7 AM) for the scenic 6-hour drive to Lachung. Stop at Singhik viewpoint for panoramic views of Kanchenjunga. Visit the confluence of Lachen and Lachung rivers at Chungthang. Arrive at Lachung village by evening. Overnight at Lachung.
Yumthang Valley & Zero Point
Early morning drive to Yumthang Valley (12,000 ft), the "Valley of Flowers." In spring, the valley is carpeted with rhododendrons. Continue to Zero Point (15,300 ft) where the road ends at the snow line. Return to Lachung for lunch. Evening free to explore Lachung village and hot springs.
Lachung to Gangtok
After breakfast, drive back to Gangtok with stops at Seven Sisters Waterfall and Naga Waterfall. Visit the Flower Exhibition Centre if time permits. Evening free to explore MG Marg.
Tsomgo Lake & Departure
Morning excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft), a glacial lake sacred to locals. Optional: Continue to Nathula Pass (14,140 ft) - India-China border (additional permit required). Return to Gangtok by afternoon for departure.
